Beach Park

The Aqua Park is the most important waterpark in South America. It counts with themed areas, a huge wave pool and attractions for every age and taste. The most exciting one is the Insano, the highest water slide in the world, with a height equivalent to that of a 14-storey building.
Jericoacoara

Its inhabitants were mostly fishermen that lived a simple life surrounded by the most beautiful nature. With the passing of time, this paradise of Brazil was opening to the world through tourism, although the natural environment was always preserved and the quaint charm of the village remains intact.
Even these days, it's quite complicated to get to Jericoacoara, since its geographical disposition can only be reached by four-wheel drive or by helicopter. In the Fortaleza city -194 miles away- there are sold tour packages that includes travel, accommodation and excursions.
Jericoacoara combines perfectly the peasant beauty of its origins, the warmth and kindness of the natives, a wide offer of accommodation -with inns of every sort-, the traditional capoeira, an intense night life and stunning scenery.
Cumbuco
Posted by: Fortaleza BrazilIn an old fishing village placed just 22 miles away from Fortaleza, Cumbuco's beach is recognized by its dunes park. High and impressive dunes molded by the action of the wind, form true canyons in which there are lagoons that make the buggy rides all an adventure.
This small town of 1500 people had developed in recent years a good tourism infrastructure. At the present time there are more than forty hotels and inns, about twenty restaurants, and bars for all tastes.
Canoa Quebrada
Posted by: Fortaleza BrazilCanoa Quebrada is located in the Northeast of Brazil, 110 miles away from Fortaleza. This place is internationally known since the 70's when European tourists, backpackers and hippies arrived looking for peace, fun and nature.
The sea's blue-green color contrasts with the red ochre of the sand and cliffs. Framed in a big stone wall, next to a wood stair between the cliffs, a moon and a star -symbol of Canoa Quebrada- are shown.
Iracema
Posted by: Fortaleza BrazilThe figure of Iracema is a symbol of Fortaleza. In the city there are some statues that represents her and a neighbourhood with her name. The origin of this mythic figure is in the book "Iracema" by Jose de Alencar, published in 1865.
The novel Iracema is the story of a doomed amorous relationship between a Portuguese soldier, Martim Soares Moreno, and a young virgin Indian woman named Iracema who belong to the Trabajara tribe, hostile to the Portuguese.
